This trip was planned already for a long time! We decided not take a RV because actually the price including the required camping areas are more or less the same and we like to have some more space as family. The only downside from side is that you need to always take out your luggage and of course back to the car when leaving. When you only stay not more than 3 days, this could mean a bit of annoying packing every time. However, after a couple of days you were more or less used to it and can handle it more easily!

On top of this page you can see the route we took, roughly split into three sections:

• Start at Los Angeles, we booked an AirBnb on Topanga, which is a city quite close to LA.
• Moved on to San Diego where we had a whole house for us.
• Next stop was Las Vegas at the Luxor Hotel, what an amazing experience!
• Grand Canyon South Rim was the next stop where we visited most of the viewpoints.
• Zion canyon was the next stop with a shirt hike to the amazing viewpoint.
• Bryce and Red Canyon were the next wonderful parks where we stopped.
